Mars!  The Red Planet in Fact, Fiction and Lore — in this talk we’ll discuss the “Mars Madness” of the late 19th and early 20th centuries and the hold Mars has in popular culture.  Did you know there have been more than 100 novels about Mars in English?  We’ll discuss the significant role of Mars in the history of astronomy.  And of course we’ll cover some of the latest scientific findings.   Attendance is free, but you need to register at the Library’s web site: http – //www.owlibrary.org/programs.php?sl=3
