LHAAC Membership

Thank you for your interest in our club.  Founded in 1956, the mission of the Litchfield Hills Amateur Astronomy Club is to promote the enjoyment of amateur astronomy through education, meetings, and public outreach.  We host stargazing events and presentations for schools and community service organizations.  Members agree to abide by club by-laws, participate in activities and promote goodwill among the members and public.

Member benefits include:

  • A monthly newsletter
  • Access to the club’s Meade LX200 14″ telescope and other equipment at the E. Dorrit Hoffleit Observatory on the grounds of the White Memorial Conservation Center (following hands-on training)
  • Free subscription to Reflector, the Astronomical League magazine, either digital or print
  • Email notices of special club programs or news of last minute astronomical events
  • Members-only web content including meeting minutes and technical presentations
  • Supporting LHACC’s outreach efforts online and in the Litchfield community

Membership is $20 per year for an individual or a family.  Gold Memberships are available for $50.
